Notice a gritty or sandy feel in your beard balms or butters?
This is perfectly normal as some of the body butters used in cosmetics can be affected by drastic changes in temperature. In most cases a butter will become grainy if it melts and is cooled down slowly or not quickly enough as some of the fats in it solidify faster than others. This can happen while in transit and can be a real pain.
Fortunately this does not affect the quality and can be fixed rather simply. Remove the underside ingredients label and place in a shallow water bath and heat until fully melted. Once melted, carefully place the container in the freezer and leave to set for about 30 mins. Finally leave the container out to let the butter or balm come back to room temperature and it's ready to use as normal!
